Inspiration
By mid winter, I think most of us are fed up with the short days and what can be wet/cold/rainy weather – if we are lucky we might get a bit of snow. It is this time of year when I start dreaming of summer, warm sunny days, and long evenings. A beautiful, bejewelled early summer flower meadow epitomises summer to me. So this painting (painted on a miserable, cold, wet day) is a reaction to having had enough of winter and longing for spring and summer to arrive.
