About the Sculpture
We live in a rural area in Kent, S.E. England, and are lucky to have Brown Hare in the fields around our village (although we have noticed a reduction in numbers in the last few years). On one occasion we were crouched down watching an adult and young Hare in the field near us. The young one approached to within a few feet of us – inquisitive as young usually are. Mum was close by watching carefully. Finally she decided enough was enough and gave the signal to leave by making her own quick exit. This pose is based on that encounter.
